We are pleased to share the above working paper by our Director, Dr Nora Ni Loideain and Early Career Researcher, Dr Rachel Adams, which explores the social harms that emanate from the problematic gendering of Virtual Personal Assistants and the role of the Federal Trade Commission.

This paper was also presented at the Privacy Law Scholars Conference 2019 at the University of Berkeley, where it received great feedback from the participants and panel chair, Janice Y Tsai of Mozilla.
